1. Asinine Axioms?
Yessiree. Asinine Axioms is a webcomic about growing up and learning to cope with life.

2. How often do you update?
Unfortunately, I’m a full-time student, so I can’t update as much as I’d like to. I try to have a new comic up every Sunday afternoon… But my update schedule is at best sporatic.

3. Wait a minute! This looks suspiciously like __________’s webcomic!
I draw my influences from a variety of places. I try my best not to steal others’ artistic styles or ideas. Artistic integrity is sort of a big deal for me, but sometimes my influences are a little too evident in my artwork. If that should happen- sorry. Only human! ):

4. How do you draw all this?
I used to do all work on Asinine Axioms with a second-hand Wacom Intuos3, Adobe Photoshop CS3, and a lot of patience. Nowadays, I use india ink and paintbrushes in addition to my tablet. Strip 14 marks the beginning of my use of analog materials.

5. Can I email you?
Sure! I’ll do my very best to email you back. I check my email at least once a day, so I’ll get back to you relatively quickly.

6. So… What’s your email address? I sort of need that to email you.

7. Can I repost your comics on other sites?
As long as I’m given fair credit, sure!

8. Merch?
I don’t get enough regular readers to justify having a lot of merch, but I keep a store open just for my own whimsical pleasure. You can find it here.

9. Wait… Who ARE you?
Jason Young is who I am here. It may or may not be who I am elsewhere.

    Hey there!
Just wanted to say that I read the 27 episodes (is that the correct word? episodes? correct me if I am wrong) that you got here, I thought it was hilarious!! I subscribed too! ;D I sort of draw too, but not using a computer, I am not ‘there ye’t. I also have my comic, that I like to call ‘manga’ instead, but it’s not scanned or anything.

    Keep up the good work!
Tell me what you think about my drawings! http://hikarulychee.wordpress.com/2010/01/15/drawings/

    Greetings from Panama city, Panama!~

    • “Episodes” works as well as any other word! I prefer the word “strips” myself, but I don’t think it matters, really.
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoy the comic. Hopefully, I’ll continue to grow and improve.
I took a look at your WordPress. I liked what I saw! You’re a fantastic artist- much, much better than me. You have a great eye for detail and nuance. I am truly jealous of your ability!
I used to read a lot of manga, but I haven’t lately- but I think the influence is pretty obvious on my drawings.

        “Strips” it is! :D
I reeeaally enjoyed it! I had a lot of fun while reading it! There is something odd about Cath! I want to know what’s up with her! hehehe Question! I am not sure if you wrote this already, I guess I missed it if you did but, are any of the characters or part of the story based in real life? Just curious!
Did you subscribed to my blog too? Wow, I was not expecting that! I don’t get that many subscribers! Thank you so much!

And thank you for your comments about my drawings, I really appreciate that!!! I don’t think of myself as someone really talented, but I think with time and practice I might be able to publish my manga! (it’s one of my dreams!) But you have inspired me to start a webcomic! I’m not sure about it yet, but I will give it some thought! And I did noticed the manga influence on your drawings! ^_^

      • There is indeed something odd about Cath… Wonder what it is! ;)
I wouldn’t say that the characters are directly inspired by real people I know, but a few of them share characteristics with friends and acquaintances.
Well, as dreams go, it’s a pretty great one. Hope you’ll be able to see it accomplished! And that’s seriously cool- if you have any questions about the process behind making a webcomic, don’t hesitate to shoot me an email. I’ll be more than happy to help!

Also- if you don’t mind, can we move the conversation to email or formspring? Thanks!
